Please note that when you make a booking either online or over the phone it means you have asked us to reserve a place on one or more set course dates. We have agreed to hold this for you for a fair and reasonable amount of time to allow you to process a payment either by debit/credit card or bank transfer.

Full payment must be made on receipt of invoice and prior to the course date if not already paid at the time of booking. Should you require your invoice to be paid by bank transfer, full payment to reach us within 48 hours of the date shown on your pro forma invoice to secure your place on your preferred course date(s). Under no circumstances will training be delivered unless payment is made prior to the date of the course.

When booking online payment can be made by debit/credit card or Paypal and bank details are also listed, should you wish to pay by bank transfer. When booking over the phone payment can be taken by debit/credit card.

Entry for Assessments & Issue of Certificates

Candidates will only be entered for assessments once we have received full payment for the course, if the deadline for entry is missed due to late payment we take no responsibility for later assessment entrance.

We do not issue any certificates ourselves that are externally certified. We submit your results to the certifying body for certification and have no influence over how quickly certificates are issued. Some certificates are taking longer to arrive than normal due the massive increase in demand. Once certificates are released to us we send them directly to the address of the person or company that booked & paid for the course. Some certifying bodies, such as BPEC, send certificates directly to the delegate and are not sent to us at The Glow Group Ltd.

If you lose your certificate, replacement certificates can usually be arranged, but please be aware the administration charges will need to be paid. These vary depending on the certifying body but are typically £50 – £75 + VAT.

Terms & Conditions of Booking

Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 do not apply as this is a business to business transaction. (i.e. You are not a consumer, you are purchasing a service for the benefit and use of a business). However, we take a common sense approach and has applied similar cancellation terms and a “cooling off” period once a booking has been made.

“Cooling off period”

From the time your booking is received (e.g. by phone or email) you have 48 hours in which if you need to cancel your booking you will receive a full “no quibble” refund. Outside of this time, your cancellation will be treated as laid out below.

Cancellation Policy

Please remember, there are only a finite number of spaces available on each course; once a place has been booked we cannot offer that space to another candidate. We plan and allocate our trainer resources based on bookings made. Cancellations happen sometimes and it is our duty as a responsible training provider to make you aware that we reserve the right to charge if you cancel a booking.

A booking is considered as each place on a course that has been booked. (Group bookings/day rate bookings are considered to have 8 places.)

All charges based on dates shown on original invoice.

Example shown here is based on booking made at midday on 1st of the month.

– Less than 48 hours since booking = £0 (if written/email cancellation request received before midday on 3rd of the month)

– 48 hours or more days since booking = 100% charge (i.e. if written/email cancellation request received after midday on 3rd of the month)

– Suitable substitute candidate notified to us at any time. = £0

– Up to 14 days before course start date: Request to move booking onto an alternative date = £0 (if paid in full, deposits will be retained by us otherwise. First time requests only, subsequent requests will incur full cancellation fee.)

The Glow Group Ltd reserves the right to cancel any course or venue. In this case an alternative date and/or course will be offered. If you have any questions that have not been addressed, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look for to seeing you and/or your candidates on the course.

Control of personal information

Any personal information provided or to be gathered by training.the-glow-group.co.uk is controlled by The Glow Group Ltd.

Q: What information do we collect? How do we use it?

Information submitted to and gathered from training.the-glow-group.co.uk is used by The Glow Group Ltd. only unless supplied through an affiliate/reseller website, in which case your details will be available to that affiliate/reseller also. Information from form submissions is used for its intended purpose.

Q: Will The Glow Group Ltd disclose the information it collects to outside parties?

The Glow Group Ltd does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include sending postal mail and e-mails, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analysing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments and providing customer services. Such companies and individuals will have access to personal information needed to perform these functions, but may not use it for any other purposes and are required to process the data in accordance with the UK’s Data Protection legislation.

Legal / General

These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by e-mail, telephone or by post with The Glow Group Ltd. Please read carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights. By using this site you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. All transactions with The Glow Group Ltd will be governed by these terms and conditions.

All references to the ‘company’, ‘us’ or ‘we’ will refer to The Glow Group Ltd. All references to the customer shall mean the person or persons purchasing or agreeing to purchase goods from the company. All references to the Website shall include reference to all URL’s owned by The Glow Group Ltd.

Prices

All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and are exclusive of UK VAT at the current rate unless clearly stated otherwise. It is our policy to offer goods and services at the most reasonable price possible, however, if, due to circumstances beyond our control, we deem it necessary to alter any advertised price, we reserve the right to do so without prior notice.

Force Majeure

We will not be liable for non-performances of our obligations caused or resulting from; but not limited to; industrial disputes or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the company such as act of God, war, riots, acts of terrorism, civil commotion, flood, fire, illness, legislation or Government mandate. In the event of such action we will endeavour to offer a place on a course at a later date but shall not issue refunds nor be liable for any consequential loss incurred by the customer as a result of non-delivery.

Any information displayed on our web site(s) or other printed matter by the company is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice. All information on our web site is updated regularly.

Pricing and Print Errors

Prices and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.

Complaints

Any complaint can be communicated directly to The Glow Group Ltd. We will endeavour to deal with your complaint within five working days of receipt. In the event where we cannot resolve your complaint immediately we will advise a likely time scale to you and keep you informed of any investigation.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers The Glow Group Ltd, its websites, and any other method of selling.

You can browse our site(s) without disclosing any personal data to us. Any links to third party web sites are covered by the third parties privacy policies.

We do not automatically log personal data nor do we link information automatically logged by other means with personal data about specific individuals.

We will collect and store information about you to allow us to firstly, process and fulfil any order requirements and secondly to provide you with the best possible service. We will collect and store any personal data that you may volunteer whist using our services, e.g.(registration, placing an order or requesting a catalogue). The information key symbol is shown wherever we collect data. All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.
